Unofficially Summer started this weekend with the celebration of Memorial Day, but summer arrives officially on June 21st (Summer Solstice). It is time to make our Summer Bucket list. The sisters list some of their ideas to help inspire you to create your own list.
Spend time at a beach, reading a book, going for a walk, searching for tide pool
treasures, body surfing in the waves, or just digging your toes in the sand.
Read a great summer book like Flight Attendant by Chris Bohjalian or Check out a great summer book list for 2019.
Challenge yourself to walk 10,000 steps a day. Reward yourself if you go over your
number with 10 extra minutes of sleep in the morning. Use an Apple Watch or a FitBit.
Spend time with a friend you haven’t seen in a while. Go to a coffee shop or a diner.
Attend at least one summer party. Not invited to any? Then have your own.
Go for a boat ride.
Go bird watching. Don’t forget to bring binoculars with you or even a camera.
Visit a lighthouse. Check out Maine.
Go out for an ice cream!
Go star gazing! Lay on the grass looking for constellations and shooting stars.
Have a bon fire and roast marshmallows.
Play a game of badminton with some kids.
Declutter an area in your house and have a yard sale.
Try a new some cocktails and share it with a friend.
Go to an outdoor concert! Find a free concert in your area and bring a picnic with a
bottle of wine.
Leave someone a large unexpected tip.
Spend time with someone you love….go for a walk, play cards, sing some old songs,,,,
Take a bike ride around your neighborhood and enjoy their gardens.
Drink more water.
Make a fruit salad, try a new fruit.
Go camping.
Try cliff jumping or rock climbing.
Spend time in a hammock.
Go swimming at night.
Reflect on positives in your day and acknowledge the day's blessings.
Here’s your challenge. Make your own list of 10 things and challenge yourself to do 7 things before the summer ends. Push yourself to try things you have never done before.
